Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire, onsite-only opportunity with one of our Sacramento-based clients. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and experienced in handling high-volume AP functions.
Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals
Match invoices to purchase orders and allocate costs to the correct GL accounts
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including check runs and ACH payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain vendor files and update records as needed
Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues
Assist with month-end close tasks, including accruals and reporting
Support the accounting team with additional duties as assigned
2+ years of accounts payable experience
Familiarity with AP workflows, PO matching, and invoice coding
Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
